Plan Commission

The Thorntown Planning Advisory Commission was formed in December 2018. It assigns addresses to the properties, reviews proposed development plans, subdivision applications, and amendments to the Thorntown Zoning Ordinance and maps. The Commission also makes recommendations to the Council regarding the amendments and current and future development of the Town of Thorntown.

Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at Town Hall at 6:00 P.M. Go to the Agendas to see what the Plan Commission is going to review at its meetings and read the Minutes of the past meetings.

Articles 6 and 7 of the Plan Commission Rules and Procedures describe how public meetings are held and prescribe the rules of public conduct and participation. Reading them will help you learn how to give your opinions on matters reviewed by the Plan Commission.
